This collection is very near and dear to my heart because it is the first collection I’ve created that feels related; emotionally, aesthetically, and energetically— this is the collection that pushed me to purse my dreams as an artist. During the final months of 2021, I found myself alone in Madrid for the holidays. As a gift to myself (and a cry for personal exploration), I bought my first set of oil paints to mess around with in my free time. Through these six paintings, I learned the basic techniques involved with oil painting and created these vibrant works with my iconic, new-found medium.
