This work is dedicated to all the people I’ve met during my travels: your perspectives have expanded my mind and illuminated my world. By allowing me to step into your communities & cultures, I’ve gained the courage to live life the way I’ve always dreamed of.

“Illuminated” celebrates the fusing of cultures that bring beauty and authenticity to their communities. This vibrant work strikes a careful balance between masculinity and femininity; sharp angular lines and bold colors combine with soft, delicate patterns to create a harmonious scene. The perspective of the painting puts you into the scene, offering a child-like view of the oil-paper umbrella lanterns.
