Rainy Stroll in Paris (2018)

This 16x20” Acrylic painting portrays a pair of people in love, strolling arm in arm away from the Eiffel Tower during an evening drizzle. The work is painted on canvas, with shades of gold and blue dominating the scene. This work is focused on delicate reflections and impressionist techniques to deliver a romantically somber st of emotions.

I took this photo in April 2018, while visiting my brother, Trent, in Paris, where he studied engineering for a semester in college. My aunt JoAnn was originally apart of the photo, posing off to the right with a thumb’s-up when I snapped the reference photo. I created this painting during the end of my senior year at CU Boulder in 2018. I made some great friends in that class and realized how much I missed making art.
